James Sanders Stone
Executive Producer, Film Director Founder & Co-Proprietor, Screenwriter, Film Producer James Stone is a native of Kansas City, raised in Portland, Oregon where he studied Drama, assisted directed, choreographed stage combat and designed for the theatre. James returned to his Midwest roots to study his Masters in Directing Cinema at DePaul University after working in Seattle producing for his mother’s film company and directing his first film Gloryland. James graduated Salutatorian from Rainier Beach High School receiving the Harvard Book Award, then receiving his B.A. from the University of Washington in 2012. James completed his film thesis filmed at the renown Cinespace in Chicago, Henry V for his MFA completion and started Knightstone with his brother, cinematographer Kye. |
Kye Benjamin Stone
Director of Photography, Producer Co-Founder & Co-Proprietor, Producer Kye Stone was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where he studied Drama, assisted directed, choreographed stage combat, and designed for the theatre. Kye moved to Chicago in 2017 to study his Masters in Cinematography at The School of Art Institute of Chicago after working in Seattle working as cinematographer for his mother’s film company and studying at the Northwest Film Forum Red Camera and digital cinematography for his certifications. Kye graduated Salutatorian from Rainier Beach High School in 2008 also receiving the Harvard Book Award, then he received his B.A. from the University of Washington in Fine Arts: Painting & Drawing, 2012. Kye completed his first film critique filmed at the renown SAIC in Chicago, Hear, Hear! for his MFA completion and started Knightstone with his brother, as chief cinematographer. |
Desiree Stone
Desiree Stone (nee Johnson) operates as Casting Director, Production Manager & HR for Knightstone Productions. A native of Chicago, Desiree Stone has a BFA Performing Arts with an emphasis in Ballet from University of Missouri, a writing tutelage with Harvard University graduate and has expanded her knowledge and expertise into design for theatre, film, and producing for both for over 30 years. Ms. Stone has written and optioned screenplays, doctored scripts for Hollywood, and mentored screenwriter students at various University Film programs since the early nineties. Ms. Stone also writes, directs, and produces small films with big concepts for her film company since 1991 and became a SAG/AFTRA Producer Signatory in 1991.
